Ramallah - June 14, 2026 - Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, and his accompanying delegation, visited Major General Osama Abu Hananeh today, Sunday, at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Ramallah, to offer their congratulations on his appointment as Security Assistant to the Minister of Interior.

During the visit, Major General Barakat emphasized the importance of this position in strengthening the national security apparatus. He praised Major General Abu Hananeh's competence and experience, wishing him success in his new role, which serves the interests of the nation and the Palestinian security establishment.

For his part, Major General Abu Hananeh expressed his appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the Customs Police's efforts in protecting the national economy, ensuring food and health security for citizens, supporting local products, and combating customs smuggling and tax evasion.

At the end of the meeting, Major General Barakat presented Major General Abu Hananeh with a token of appreciation for his service and dedication to the Palestinian people.
