Ramallah, June 10, 2026 – Representing the Commander of the Customs Police, Major General Iyad Barakat, the Director of Public Relations and Media at the Customs Police, Colonel Ibrahim Ayyash, and his accompanying delegation met today, Wednesday, with the Mayor of Al-Bireh, Engineer Munif Tarish, to discuss ways to coordinate and cooperate between the two sides in a manner that serves the citizens and the public interest.

During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed, and the importance of strengthening coordination was emphasized, particularly in the area of ​​awareness, through the implementation of joint programs and activities aimed at raising awareness among citizens and serving the local community.

For his part, Engineer Tarish praised the role played by the Customs Police in protecting the national economy and supporting local products, which contributes to providing food security for our people.

At the end of the meeting, the Customs Police delegation presented Engineer Tarish with a commemorative plaque on the occasion of his assuming the duties of Mayor of Al-Bireh, in appreciation of his efforts, and wishing him success in performing his duties and serving the people of the city.
