Ramallah – June 9, 2026 – During routine inspections of shops and markets, the Customs Police, in cooperation with the relevant department at the Ministry of National Economy, seized 364 cans of energy drinks in Tubas Governorate on Tuesday. The drinks lacked labeling in Arabic that clearly displayed essential information such as expiration date, country of origin, ingredients, storage instructions, and product name.
Approximately 40 kg of chocolate, food products, and baby care items were also seized, all of which were expired and unfit for human consumption, posing a potential risk to consumer health and safety.
Consequently, the relevant department at the Ministry of National Economy ordered the confiscation of the energy drinks and the destruction of the expired items using safe and hygienic methods, while completing all necessary legal procedures.
