The customs police participate in the Youth Summit for 2022 in the Youth Village in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate

Ramallah _ November 16, 2022 in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Major General Ziad Hab Al-Rih: The Customs Police, represented by the Department of Public Relations and Media, participated in the Youth Summit 2022, under the slogan “More Dialogue – A Better Future”, which is joined by the Sharek Youth Forum in partnership with the coalition from For Integrity and Accountability - AMAN, today, Wednesday, in the youth village, west of Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, in the presence of representatives of the security establishment and a large number of young people from different governorates of the country.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Sharek Forum, Bader Zamareh, made an introductory tour for His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Hab Al-Reeh, and the attendees included the facilities of the youth village.
For his part, Major General Hab El-Reeh stressed the importance of meeting with the youth in order to enhance cooperation, partnership and integration with civil society institutions, indicating the importance of the youth's role in the construction process and empowering them with the concepts of integrity and transparency.
During the accountability session, the most important issues related to the strategic plan of the customs police, indicators of control over general performance, obstacles to its work, the adequacy of logistical support and the strategic plan related to it, and other issues were reviewed. Minister Habb El-Reeh and the audience also praised the role played by the customs police in protecting the Palestinian market from corrupt, smuggled and illegal goods and settlement goods, and its role in protecting the national economy, supporting the local product and combating smuggling, despite the lack of the necessary capabilities to carry out its tasks.
This meeting comes within a series of meetings organized by the Sharek Youth Forum in partnership with the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability.
