Ramallah – October 13, 2026: Lieutenant Colonel Saed Jibril, Director of the Customs Police in the Jericho and Jordan Valley Governorate, participated this Tuesday in an inspection tour led by the Governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Dr. Hussein Hamayel. The tour covered several date companies and processing facilities in the Jordan Valley, aimed at assessing current operations and production within the date sector.
Governor Hamayel emphasized the necessity of adhering to all applicable regulations and laws, and ensuring that Palestinian dates maintain high quality and meet established standards. He further stressed the importance of combating tax evasion and smuggling, protecting this vital sector, and supporting its sustainability—all of which contribute to strengthening the national economy and safeguarding the rights of farmers and producers.
