Ramallah – October 7, 2026: Acting on information and following field surveillance, the Customs Police in Qalqilya Governorate seized 1,750 "Rock" breed chickens on Wednesday. These birds are prohibited from being traded in the Palestinian market, as they are past their productive lifespan and are subject to a restriction issued by the Ministry of Agriculture; their consumption could pose health risks to consumers.
Relevant authorities from the Ministry of Agriculture were summoned, and it was decided to impound the seized items pending the completion of legal procedures in accordance with established regulations.
