Ramallah – September 22, 2026: During routine inspections of shops and markets in Jenin this Tuesday, the Customs Police—in cooperation with the relevant authority at the Jenin Municipality Health Department (Food Control Division)—seized approximately 1,700 kg of fruit (pineapples) unfit for human consumption. The fruit showed signs of spoilage and decay, posing potential health risks to consumers. Consequently, the competent authority ordered the destruction of the seized quantity in accordance with health and safety protocols and directed that the necessary legal procedures be completed.
