Approximately 39.25 tons of expired goods were seized last week in cooperation with partner agencies

The most prominent cases are as follows:

30 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving state revenues and bolstering the treasury. These cases included:

- 20 tax and customs violations, with the taxpayers referred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

- 4 cases involving goods arriving from Israel without proper documentation.

- 6 cases related to smuggled and prohibited tobacco.

24 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health, aimed at preventing the spread of illegal goods. The most prominent of these cases included:

- Seizure and destruction of approximately 39.25 tons of expired and unfit-for-consumption food and building materials.

- Seizure and confiscation of approximately 20.5 tons of expired and unfit-for-consumption nuts, which violated mandatory regulations. These nuts were handed over to the relevant authorities.

- Seizure and confiscation of 47.4 tons of olive oil, which violated mandatory regulations. These oil was also handed over to the relevant authorities. In one case, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, approximately 3 tons of firewood were seized for being transported without a permit and were handed over to the relevant authorities.

The Customs Authority urges citizens to report smuggled, spoiled, or counterfeit goods, price manipulation, or monopolistic practices by calling the toll-free number 132 or through the Authority's official Facebook page.
