Ramallah - July 31, 2026 In line with its national responsibility to protect the national economy and enhance economic security, the Customs Police and the security establishment, in partnership and coordination with relevant authorities, are continuing to conduct intensive oversight tours of fuel stations across the country.
These tours follow the discovery of quantities of fuel stored at several fuel stations in some governorates, a violation aimed at withholding it from the market in preparation for selling it at the August price. This harms the public interest and violates applicable regulations and laws.
The security establishment and relevant authorities affirm that their field teams are continuing their monitoring and follow-up operations around the clock, and that legal measures will be taken against anyone found to be involved in hoarding, stockpiling, manipulating the distribution of fuel, or exploiting citizens for illicit gain. The security establishment and relevant authorities urge citizens not to be swayed by rumors, to verify information from official sources, and to report any violations, stressing that protecting economic security and maintaining market stability is a shared national responsibility that requires everyone’s cooperation.
