Ramallah - June 27, 2026: An expanded meeting of the Standing Committee for Moral Guidance was held, chaired by Major General Anwar Rajab, Commissioner General of the National and Moral Guidance Authority and official spokesperson for the Palestinian Security Forces. The meeting included the coordinator and members of the Higher Committee for Public Relations and Media in the security services and relevant bodies. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss mechanisms for developing the security media system and strengthening the role of national guidance in serving the national message.
Major General Rajab emphasized the importance of building an integrated security media system based on professionalism and speed in disseminating information, and one that reinforces the Palestinian narrative in the face of disinformation campaigns and media targeting. He stressed the need to unify media messages in a way that serves the national interest and maintains public trust.
Participants discussed ways to improve media performance, prepare a joint media plan among security institutions and agencies, activate national guidance programs, and enhance coordination and integration in producing media and awareness content. This aims to raise the level of public awareness and consolidate national identity. The meeting also reviewed mechanisms for building effective partnerships with official and civil society institutions and media outlets, enhancing media training and development programs, and developing work methods to keep pace with the rapid advancements in the field of media and communication.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to form specialized working groups to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations and to develop an action plan with a clear timeline. This plan aims to improve media performance, strengthen integration among various entities, and ultimately achieve a unified national media discourse that reflects the Palestinian message with professionalism and responsibility.
