Ramallah - July 19, 2026 Colonel Ibrahim Ayash, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Customs Police, and his accompanying delegation, met today, Sunday, with Major General Tawfiq Tirawi, member of the Fatah Central Committee and Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization, to discuss mechanisms for strengthening joint cooperation.

Colonel Ayash conveyed the greetings of Major General Iyad Barakat, Commander of the Customs Police, to Major General Tirawi, and offered his congratulations on assuming his duties as Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization, wishing him success in his new national responsibilities.

Major General Tirawi praised the work of the Customs Police and the qualitative leap it has witnessed since Major General Iyad Barakat assumed command, commending the efforts exerted in protecting the national economy, combating smuggling, and preserving public funds. During the meeting, discussions focused on developing a joint program to implement awareness-raising activities and initiatives targeting young scouts and guides, aiming to strengthen their sense of national belonging and community awareness, and to instill in them the principles of protecting the national economy and respecting the law.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Colonel Ayash presented a commemorative plaque on behalf of the Customs Police to Major General Tawfiq Al-Tirawi, in recognition of his dedicated service to the Palestinian people.
