Ramallah – March 19, 2026 The Deputy Director of the Customs Police in the Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Governorate, Major General Yousef Injas, received the Governor of Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley, Ahmed Al-Asaad, today, Thursday, at the agency's headquarters in the governorate. The meeting was also attended by directors of the security establishment and members of the security establishment's Public Relations Committee.

During the meeting, Governor Al-Asaad was briefed on the Customs Police's achievements this year, praising its efforts and vital role in protecting the national economy. Al-Asaad affirmed his commitment to providing all forms of support to the agency, thereby strengthening its efforts in combating smuggling and protecting the Palestinian market.

In a separate event, and in the presence of the Governor of Tubas and the Northern Jordan Valley, Ahmed Al-Asaad, the Customs Police participated today, Thursday, in an inspection tour of markets and shops. The tour aimed to monitor the availability of basic commodities, ensure merchants' compliance with approved standards, and prevent monopolies and price manipulation.
