Approximately 9.6 tons of expired goods were seized last week in cooperation with partner agencies.

The most prominent cases are as follows:

21 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving state revenues and bolstering the treasury. These cases included:

- 17 tax and customs cases, with the taxpayers referred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

- Two cases involving goods arriving from Israel without proper documentation.

- Two cases related to smuggled and prohibited tobacco.

25 cases in cooperation with the Ministries of National Economy and Health, aimed at preventing the spread of illegal goods. The most prominent of these cases included:

- The seizure of approximately 9.6 tons of expired and unfit-for-human-consumption food products, cosmetics, and meat. The seized items were destroyed.

- The seizure of 4,326 kg of chocolate with altered expiration dates, which was handed over to the relevant authorities.

- The seizure of 56 kg of olive oil, which was impounded pending laboratory testing by the relevant authorities. - 85 individual beads and 9 packages of chocolates prohibited from circulation were seized.

Two cases were handled in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority, resulting in the seizure of:

- 37 tons of construction waste originating from Israel, which was returned to its source.

The Customs Control Department urges citizens to report smuggled, spoiled, or counterfeit goods, price manipulation, or monopolistic practices by calling the toll-free number 132 or contacting the department through its official Facebook page.
