The Customs Police participated in the opening of the largest solar power plant in Palestine, “Noor Tubas,” with a capacity of 24 megawatts.

 

Ramallah – January 12, 2026: The Customs Police in Tubas Governorate, represented by its director, Lieutenant Colonel Saad Sayel, participated in the opening ceremony of the “Noor Tubas” solar power plant for farmers, with a production capacity of 24 megawatts. This plant is the largest of its kind in Palestine. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa.

The event was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and in the presence of the Chairman of the Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority, Engineer Ayman Ismail, the Governor of Tubas, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asaad, as well as a number of ministers and representatives from official bodies, the energy sector, and the private sector.

This project comes within the framework of government efforts aimed at promoting renewable energy sources in Palestine and reducing dependence on traditional energy sources, thus contributing to supporting sustainable development and meeting citizens' needs for clean energy.
