June 18, 2025: In light of the difficult economic conditions facing the country, and coinciding with the rising level of anxiety among citizens, the Customs Control Authority announces that it will organize intensive field inspections, in cooperation with civil and security partners, on gas stations and random and unlicensed points of sale. This is aimed at controlling and protecting the market and preventing any exploitative practices by some that may harm citizens.
The Authority calls on all merchants and shop owners not to manipulate prices or monopolize essential goods, stressing that any violation will be met with firm legal action, without leniency.
The Customs Control Authority also reassures citizens that essential food supplies are available and there is no need to rush to obtain them.
The Customs Authority, in cooperation with partners in the relevant authorities, continues its work to ensure market stability and protect citizens, and emphasizes that community awareness and cooperation with official agencies are the first line of defense in such crises.
