Ramallah, March 11, 2025 - As part of his field monitoring of the Customs Police's work during the month of Ramadan, the Customs Police Commander, Major General Iyad Barakat, shared an iftar meal with a Customs Police patrol in Ramallah and Al-Bireh on Tuesday at a field checkpoint.
This visit comes in appreciation of the efforts of the Customs Police personnel who continue to work during iftar hours to control markets, combat smuggling, and protect the national economy. Major General Barakat praised the commitment and dedication of the Customs Police personnel, emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining economic security and serving citizens.
It is worth noting that the Customs Police continues to conduct daily checkpoints and field inspections throughout the month of Ramadan in various governorates to detect violations and ensure compliance with customs and commercial laws.
In addition, before the Maghrib call to prayer, the Customs Police distributed water and dates to citizens and drivers at the main intersections and entrances and exits of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, for those who did not have time to reach their destinations before iftar.
